Social-Emotional Learning
Emotional Regulation
Students will learn to identify their own emotions as well as the emotions of others around them. They will identify the size of the problem and the appopriate strategy to deal with that emotion.
Calming Down Strategies
Students will use a variety of methods to explore their use of calming down strategies and when to apply them. This includes breathing techniques, self-talk, and assertiveness.
Time Management
Students will build on their time management skills including focus and listening skills. They will practice time management strategies to help them succeed in various scenerios.
Friendship Building
Students will learn basic strategies in friendship building and how to apply them to real-world contexts. They will use social-stories, role playing,as well as interactive activities and games to practice effective communication skills.
